This preview is an interface illustration, not a screenshot of customer data.
Problem
The shop owner still recorded sales in a notebook, so stock counts drifted and monthly reports had to be recalculated by hand. Paid POS apps felt too heavy and too expensive for a single shop.
Approach
I rebuilt the flow from the cashier's side: one screen, large buttons, and the ability to keep recording when the internet drops. Data lives in PostgreSQL through Prisma and syncs when the connection returns. Reporting is kept cheap—aggregation happens in the database, not in the browser.
Key features
- Fast mode: search a product, pick a quantity, take payment, print a receipt.
- Stock decreases automatically with a warning below a threshold.
- Daily and monthly reports with CSV export.
- Multi-device support for a single shop.
Results
- 01
Checkout time dropped from about 40 seconds to 12 seconds per customer.
- 02
Stock discrepancies decreased because every change is recorded.
- 03
The owner can check sales from a phone without opening the notebook.
Notes
The hard part was not the interface but trust in the numbers. Once stock and reports were consistent, the owner stopped looking for another app.
