Experience

Four years, one direction.

A path from a friend's Minecraft server to machine learning projects used for decisions. Not everything went smoothly, and that is the most useful part.

    Learning

    The first line of code

    Self-taught

Started with HTML and CSS out of curiosity about how web pages are formed. The first week was spent copying examples; the next was spent breaking everything and fixing it again.

    • Finished a simple profile page that opened on a phone.
    • Learned to read console errors instead of guessing.

    Community

    Running a Minecraft server

    School community

Managed a PaperMC server for friends. This was my first encounter with Linux, user permissions, conflicting plugins, and players who were unhappy when the server went down during play hours.

    • Installed and configured LuckPerms for more than 40 players.
    • Created a backup schedule after losing one world.

  3. 2023 — 2024

    Project

    First FiveM server

    Community project

Built a FiveM roleplay server from scratch: choosing a framework, writing Lua scripts, and designing a character database. Learned that community documentation can be both very helpful and very misleading.

    • Rewrote the admin panel to use role-based permissions.
    • Reduced server boot time from 38 to 16 seconds.

    Project

    A point-of-sale app for a neighbour's shop

    First real project

A grocery shop near my house still recorded sales in a notebook. I offered to build a simple POS app and learned that listening to a user's workflow is harder—and more important—than writing code.

    • Interviewed the shop owner three times before writing code.
    • Shipped the first version in three weeks, then fixed it based on daily feedback.

    Learning

    Getting into machine learning

    Self-taught

Started with statistics basics and Pandas, then scikit-learn. My first project predicted house prices and the result looked too good—there was data leakage. That lesson was worth more than the score.

    • Completed an online machine learning fundamentals course.
    • Built the habit of splitting data before touching a model.

    Project

    ChurnPulse and model evaluation

    Machine learning project

Built a complete churn model with an API and prediction explanations. The focus shifted from chasing accuracy to making the output usable by non-technical people.

    • Reached 0.86 ROC-AUC with stratified cross-validation.
    • Added risk-factor summaries so predictions can be acted on.

    Now

Building this site as a home for projects and technical notes, while helping friends in the local community set up their own small servers and websites.

    • Designed a multilingual site that stays fast on a cheap VPS.
    • Documented the deployment process so anyone can repeat it.

Now

What I am working on

I am deepening my model evaluation skills, tidying deployment notes, and preparing for a software engineering vocational high school.

  • Building a stricter model evaluation pipeline.
  • Cleaning up server configuration so it is easy to replicate.
  • Writing technical notes in Indonesian.
